Sponsors participate in continuing education courses thoroughout the year. Additionally they participate in confrences, in-service trainings, and seminars.

"I graduated from Desiderata School in May 1997. I enjoyed my time here so much that I worked as a tutor and office assistant until I left for college in the fall. I returned after receiving my degree in 2000, appreciating Desiderata's personal approach to education more than ever, and decided to work with the school on a part time basis, primarily as a high school Sponsor."

"After marrying and starting a family, I realized that my real interest was in early childhood education. I have been a licensed childcare provider and preschool teacher for five years now and love every minute of it. It is truly amazing to watch a child explore their world as they grow and learn about life.
