Desiderata offers three major options for enrollment, maintaining the option to further individualize each major option as necessary for specific students. Each different program is designed to make the most of a given learning style or life-style.
Some students need as much assistance as possible with motivation and progress. Typically these students have particular difficuly completing and submitting homework, may have been described as ADD or ADHD, and are often uncommonly creative and/or physically active and motivated.
Some students are best served with a more malleable schedule allowing them to study and complete course assignments in between or around other obligations. These students are generally more self-motivated and may feel frustration at the need to sit through long classes to receive credit for coursework they would prefer to complete individually.
Students who do not have a local Student Center may be best served with a program that does not require physical attendance, but rather allows communication at a distance.

Directed Independent
The Directed Independent Study program is our most popular and successful enrollment option. The program is ideal for students wishing to complete educational goals in minimal time and provides additional assistance with organizational and scheduling or planning skills.
Assisted Independent
The Assisted Independent Study program is most appropriate for self-motivated students wishing to have greater freedom with the scheduling of study times, and/or students who wish to remain enrolled in another school or program or maintain part-time employment.
Correspondence
The Correspondence Study program is available to students residing more than 50 miles from a local instructional center. Correspondence study students of Desiderata enjoy significantly more attention than conventional correspondence programs.
