Fractions! Grades 6-10

Service Description

Help students master fractions! They should be comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, reducing, and comparing fractions. Goal is to dismantle any fears with fractions and be able to associate fractions, decimals and percents (FDP). These skills are also necessary as they move into Algebra. FDP’s are also useful in everyday life! This course consists of a series of 5 classes. Equipment: Course will be available online through Zoom – will need computer with camera capable of running Zoom. Course Materials:  Paper/pencil (or white board)  Folder to organize work  Handouts will be provided. Course Structure: Course will consist of combination of lecture and hands-on activities. Active participation is encouraged.
